CYCL is riding to fight cancer

We believe in transformative power of the bicycle. We know that simply getting on a bike and spending time pedaling makes everything better. You know us from our work to encourage kids to ride through mountain bike racing. That’s our little corner of the world and we want to make it a happy, healthy and bright place.

Unfortunately there are still dark places. Places and people touched by cancer. So CYCL wants to do what we can to brighten those places by doing what we know how to do and love to do…..riding bikes.

This summer, CYCL will participate in 24 Hours of Booty, a 24-hour cycling event that raises money for national and local cancer initiatives. 24 Hours of Booty is the official 24-hour cycling event of LIVESTRONG, the national beneficiary. LIVESTRONG believes that in the battle with cancer, unity is strength, knowledge is power and attitude is everything. Founded in 1997 by cancer survivor and champion cyclist Lance Armstrong, LIVESTRONG provides the practical information and tools people living with cancer need to live strong.

Local recipients include the Blumenthal Cancer Center at Carolinas Medical Center, The Brain Tumor Fund for the Carolinas, and the Keep Pounding Fund, which honors the late Carolina Panthers player and coach Sam Mills and former player Mark Fields.

We hope you will consider making a donation to our fight against cancer and even better, join our team and we can fight cancer together.
